Richard Flynn is a business leader with more than three decades of experience guiding companies through growth, operational complexity, and periods of transition. His work has spanned technology, eCommerce, retail, and founder-led enterprises, where he has repeatedly been called upon to restore clarity, strengthen operations, and stabilize businesses during critical phases of development.

Richard has held executive leadership roles including President of Tower Records during its global digital transformation and Chief Executive Officer of both PowerMax and Bodelin Technologies. Across these roles he has led operational turnarounds, revenue expansion initiatives, and large-scale digital commerce platforms serving millions of customers.

His work has included leading a 401% revenue turnaround inside a distressed $50 million division, growing a technology manufacturer from $1 million to $5 million in revenue within six months, and rebuilding the eCommerce operations of Tower Records, a global brand generating more than $1 billion in annual revenue. Earlier in his career he founded Red Trumpet, a specialty eCommerce retailer that was nationally recognized alongside Amazon and eBay shortly after launch.

Richard’s work today centers on founder-led and privately held companies experiencing operational strain, rapid growth, or leadership transition. His approach is practical and operationally focused, emphasizing financial visibility, clear authority within leadership teams, disciplined pricing and margin management, and the installation of sustainable operating structures.

His work with companies is typically structured as a defined 90-day stabilization phase designed to restore financial clarity, decision cadence, and operational discipline within the business. In some cases a limited continuation may follow, but ongoing involvement is not the default structure.

In addition to his business work, Richard is the founder of All Things Music Plus+, a digital music history platform that reaches millions of readers and music enthusiasts through social media and online publishing.

Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Slippery Rock University and has completed executive studies at the Wharton School in Strategic Management and Artificial Intelligence for Business.
